In Donald Hall’s book of prose pieces, Principal Products of Portugal, I discover a lovely little piece about "one of the great solitaries", the hermit poet Robert Francis. Here, from Hall’s piece, is a poem by Francis.
The Oxen
Massive, submissive, mute
The yoked oxen stand
Waiting the rod’s touch
So in the Iliad
While the rod rested, so
In the Old Testament
With those benign great eyes
Gazing as they now gaze
At something beyond time.
And about time, Uma. Heard something about the Big Brother in India blocking blogspot. Idiots.

Hi Uma, nice that u r trying something interesting. Wordpress provides lot more features than blogger, thats why I had moved to wordpress earlier this year.

A good time to switch, it looks like — what with the apparent Indian ban on blogspot… Have you tried to access blogspot at all in the past day or two?

Uma, is this a permanent move (or a temporary one due to Blogger issues in India)? I am not able to add this to Bloglines to keep track of new posts - can you tell me how to do that? Thanks. Enjoy your new abode!

Am guessing this is because of the ISP blockages. Am sorry you have to shift/reassemble your blog yet another time. Hope this one brings no trouble.

hey, why the new blog? I liked the old one better…there is too much extra, distracting information of this one. The layout of your old blog was great.

Bypass the ban!
You can still post on Blogger. Now, if you want to read a blog, do this:
1. Go to reader.google.com, and log in with your google ID.
2. Go to settings. Type in the URL of the blog, and then type ‘/atom.xml’ like this: http://sihikahi.blogspot.com/atom.xml
3. Bingo! Read any blog you want this way, provided the blogger has turned on the live feed feature.

hi after a while. not sure why you decided to re-locate, in case you ever want to host your blog as an independent, lemme know. and all the best in reassembling, wordpress is reportedly rather nifty, but also rather different from movable type.
