- Two out of every three children face some form of physical abuse
- Fifty per cent of abusers are known to the child or in some position of trust/responsibility
- Over seventy per cent of abused children remain silent about the abuse
- Two out of every three children face corporal abuse at school
- Every second child faces some form of emotional abuse
- Almost half of the girls wish they were boys
These are some of the deeply disturbing findings of this study of over 12000 children across 13 states.
