Fortunately that gun manages not to kill anything. Lovely film.

Actually, I did not enjoy Bhuvan Shome as much as I thought I would enjoy it. Make no mistake, young Suhasini Muley looks lovely, and Uttpal Dutt is great as always. Definitely worth watching, but somehow I found the film raw, as the director could have chosen to make complete mockery of the bureaucracy, but decided not to do so. Does that make sense?

Anup: I think the general spirit of the film (and it’s based on a Banaphool story) was meant to be one of gentle fun. And it succeeds!
