In which Yashraj Films spins straw into more straw.

I usually enjoy the completely-out-of-touch-with-reality style of masala, but poverty is pretty real.

And if a bad guy on the racetrack bangs up your car and very nearly kills you, are you going to do the same to him when you meet on the tracks again?

Family entertainment? Taking revenge, abandoning the family pet, singing and dancing to the worst kind of Vishal-Shekhar tunes… gah.

*****

Oh, and I hope Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is better than its promo looks… I liked Saathiya and loved Bunty aur Babli, and I am waiting to see this new film from Shaad Ali.

  1. The 30-second promo I saw of this film made it look like an out-of-touch-with-masala style of masala film. That’s a bad thing.

  3. I am just heart sick about this! I must let the beautiful people of India know: Within the next few months, Mary Kay, Inc. will open Mary Kay India and I want to let the women of your country know just what it is all about.

Please! Please! Please! Do a lot of research about how Mary Kay, Inc. operates before “joining” the company. On the surface it looks like the opportunity of a lifetime but in reality, it is a multi-level marketing (MLM) aka “pyramid” scheme and truly the very few who make any kind of real income are making that money at the expense of the vast majority of the “underlings” –the people that are recruited.

Intelligent people really scrutinize the facts and do not simply listen to the hype. Please do some serious investigating before becoming involved in Mary Kay India.

Here is a place to get your started on your research. www.pinktruth.com

There are more true-to-life experiences with Mary Kay as independent beauty consultants and sales directors here than any other place.

For so long it was unheard of to “complain” or “question” the results and activities and business practices & ethics of the corporation and other independent consultants.

    Now there is a place!
