<description>"That was the beginning of the century; this is its end. I have been thinking not only of the people who lived there once, but also of the generations of dogs accompanying them in their everyday bustle, and one night— I don't know where it came from— in a predawn sleep, that funny and tender phrase composed itself: a road-side dog." - Czeslaw Milosz, Borderlines.</description>

					<description>Hi Ra,

It was quite nice - I've always liked Bombay Jayashree, and T.N. Krishna was good too. Jayashree sang Mayamalavagowlai, Mayateertha Swaroopini, especially beautifully; and Nilambari, and Ritigowlai. Krishna sang Seethapathe in Khamas. He's much more comfortable on the screen than Jayashree, though I like her singing better. They did a lovely Vande Mataram at the end. The surround sound was superb. But it was like a straightforward concert recording - I had hoped for something a bit more subtle and interesting, and for a better selection of compositions. Hopefully they'll make more such films, and better ones.
